happy 120th birthday Fairfield!!! thank you Lord for watching over us for the past 120 years! your love endures forever!

Founder's Day celebration yesterday was extremely fun, and I was down for reception duty with zoey. thanks girl, for helping me out during duty. yeah, so the both of us had duty in the canteen, for reception for 2007 graduands. soo..it was kind of fun, because we got to meet up with our post-sec seniors, here's a list of them, as far as I can remember:

we had to also move all the leftovers of the food up to the staff room, and we also led parents up to the skybridge, lest they lost their way.my legs ached all the way though, cos it was my first time wearing council blazer, so i was not very used to it. later, we distributed ice cream to the students and parents and 07's graduands. haha...(:

i went off to look for my seniors later, cos they were hanging around at the field, though mr lim tried to get them cleared off so he could go home. haha...slacker!!

on the whole, it was really enjoyable. thanks for the hug, joy, it really encouraged me to go on! :)

i really miss sam seah. she went back to brisbane, but will be back again in november. pray that she will get used to life and U in aussie.

The whole programme of WHEEL week consisted of a study skills workshop and a four days and three nights camp to Jalan Bahtera Adventure Centre. I enjoyed myself a lot and I learnt a lot of valuable lessons that cannot be learnt in a classroom.

On Monday, we had a study skills workshop held by the Adam Khoo Learning Technologies company. I learnt many techniques to study more efficiently and effectively. There were many activities and I learnt new ways to study like looking out for important points and how to memorise words in an easier and faster way. The workshop was informative and the trainer was well-knowledged.

The next day, the secondary two level including me assembled bright and early in school. We were going to camp out to Jalan Bahtera Adventure Centre (JBAC)! I felt happy and excited, as I thought of the activities in store for us there. We got to know our instructors in charge of our class, and our instructors were Tammy and Yuan Shan, whom I also refer to as 'round mountain' or 'ys'. In a few minutes, I got to know them better and we made friends with each other. I was in Group Ten, and my official instructor was Yuan Shan.

When we reached our destination, we got to move our belongings into the dormitories assigned to us and we found out that it would be where we would be sleeping at night. We had icebreakers, and we thought and brainstormed for our class' name. We used the name "Muah Chee" in the end and my group was called "Chee", and the other group "Muah". Many of us were shocked and alarmed, while others just took it to our stride. Later, we had activities like zipline where I got a chance to attempt. It was rather scary as I stood on the top of the tower, waiting to come down from it. However, as I jumped down from it, I felt relaxed and happy to have faced my fear. We also had the activity of rafting where we had to build a raft as a class out of six PVA poles, four barrels and some ropes. In the end, our raft worked out as it did not come apart when we carried it out to sea. I felt a sense of achievement as the raft floated nicely without sinking. At night, we had our 'Night Hike' where all of us were blindfolded and our instructors led us through the whole campsite in a single line. On the whole, I felt that the first day of camp was fun-filled and exciting.

The next day, we woke up at 6.30am in the morning, just in time to wash up and a delicious breakfast. After that, Yuan Shan and Tammy led us into a session of campfire planning and cheerleading. I was in charge of creating the class cheer, assisted by both instructors and my classmates. After the session, we had belaying school and I learnt how to belay for my friends when they attempted high elements training and actiivities. All was fine until the part when the instructor shouted "falling". I accidentally swung forward together with my instructor as I was not in a "locking position". From then on, I told myself not to repeat the same mistake again. We had to climb the rockwall later and I was volunteered to be first to climb. Being the first one, I was naturally afraid and nervous. I was stuck halfway as there were too little slabs of rock for me to support on. However, my classmates encouraged and cheered me, and my instructors guided me all the way up. When I reached the top, I felt encouraged and glad as my classmates cheered happily for me. At times when I really felt liking giving up all hope to reach the summit, I was filled with courage again when my classmates encouraged me. At night, we had the game of "Kidnap" where one person from each group would be kidnapped. We had to complete stations to find the key to save the person. After trying more than five stations, we could only find our first key. We all felt tired and wanted to give up, but Yuan Shan told us to have a persevering spirit and to never give up. In the end, we were the fifth group to finish the game. It was a job well done!

On the third day, it was our Campfire Night. The dance and song for the suggested song "Low" from the movie "Step Up 2" had not been finalised and taught to the class. As we were running out of time, Yuan Shan and Tammy decided to choose another song for our class to perform. They chose the song "Witch Doctor", which was fast-paced, but had lesser actions. In the end, we all had to agree that though the song was supposed to be childish, we had fun jumping up and down throughout the whole song! Later, we had kayaking activity, where we were taught how to kayak and the safety precautions before heading out to sea. Kayaking was fun but also terrifying, especially during the time when the trainer jumped across our kayaks. One of our classmates let go of the kayak next to his, and the trainer fell into the water with a loud splash! That was definitely the joke of the day. At night, we had our campfire and we watched the many performances by other classes. When it was our time to perform, we went up to stage confidently with Yuan Shan and Tammy, and we performed our dance item and our cheers. At the end, all the instructors and classes cheered madly for us and though we only rehearsed only for less the five times, I felt that we did very well. It was also fun to see our instructors Yuan Shan and Tammy on the dance floor with the other instructors in charge of other classes. Later, we had debriefing that left most of us close to tears. It was touching to hear the instructors comment on how much our class had bonded and grew from the first day and they left us with the point that with the right mindset, nothing could ever stop us in life. We did not have to be a somebody to make an impact in the lives of others. I would never forget what the instructors told us that night. The third day of camp was the day that I would never forget.

The next and final day of camp, we had to do area cleaning after breakfast. Fortunately, we were not assigned to clean the toilets unlike some unfortunate ones. We had to clean out the boys' dormitory and we picked up litter on the grass patches. We finished our task in a short while, so we entertained ourselves with songs and cheers from last night's campfire. Later, we took the bus back to school with our instructors. Back at school, I got a chance to get autographs from Yuan Shan and Tammy. Photographs were taken together and we all had to say a final goodbye to them. I could not bring myself to part with them after being such good friends during the camp. However, the bonds and ties between us will never be broken and I will never forget the good friends that I have made in camp. I will forever remember this level camp as it is not an opportunity that comes knocking on our door everyday.

back to tacklebox tomorrow because it is sunday yet again! :) love the song Beautiful Saviour by planet shakers, the band plays it beautifully.

i loved last saturday, where we formed our school crest using 4 thousand over Fairsians wearing blue and yellow! The view from above was simply spectacular! met up with many of my seniors : 2 joys, julia and pauline and others.

it was the first time both schools sang the school hymn without making fun of it and with so much enthusiasm. people were clapping as we sang along to it and we were just having fun in the sun, getting super suntanned.

good thing we had the black board to cover us from the sun, or the number of people from my class falling sick would be unimaginable.

on the whole it was a load of fun, and i definitely want it again next year! we also broke a record of the largest number of people forming a crest! smiles!!! :) 3 cheers for fairfield, hip hip hooray!

this good friday and easter, I have definitely learnt that it is not only about easter eggs and bunnies. I finally got the message this time.

I was really touched, close to tears, when I heard of the song ' Why?' by Nicole Nordeman played during service. I got the message that Jesus had died for all our sins though we were so unworthy, and He had suffered at the hands of those that He had created.

The song really touched my heart, and I felt really thankful for Jesus, and what He had done on the cross many years ago.

I LOVE YOU LORD!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE THROUGHOUT MY LIFE!!!

hi peeps!

happy cny to all my friends in fairfield and ttb ppl.

ate a lot this new year and definitely put on a lot of weight. had lots of fun yesterday and went to other people's houses to 'bai nian'. had lots of goodies to eat : choco fondue, pineapple tarts, lots of sweet stuff.

have not had such fun since last year in m'sia.

went shopping throughout chinese new year, though most shops were not open. shopping queen is back!

will be back in school on monday, and gb resumes on friday.

wishing all my seniors a happy chinese new year and all the best in your new schools! God bless you! :)

will probably be around here again soon.

have not written here for the longest time. had to catch up on my common tests in the week.

i thank God for giving my past sec 4 seniors good o-level results!

my ld was one of the tops!

i love gb and the seniors that come back to help us.

thought that i would never see them again after they graduate from Fairfield.

love the gb meetings that totally brighten up my Fridays and my tgif spirit.

had a hectic week and everyday i was dilly-dallying to get out of the house to get to sch.

all the common tests packed into one week, really made me feel... ...>< !

sam left tackle on last sunday but she will be back in july to see us!

will definitely miss her a lot but took many photos with her.

will never forget the moments that we had together!

very tired after the whole week.

think that i will have a great chinese new year after all!

3rd wk of school n back at tacklebox

have not written for a super long time because of a lot of homework.

yup, so it's my 3rd week in school and i am back at tacklebox too!! I totally miss the people there :)

i am back in GB and my seniors and rf are back from acjc and from their other schools too :) :) have a lot of things to catch up this friday and have my total defence presentation this friday to present. i have not presented since like last year and i have been keeping it for months!! i hope that i don't screw up and that i will do well in presenting!

so i had started school back at fairfield on 2 jan and so far so good! nothing drastic has really happened to me and definitely had loads of fun at sec one orientation. lol

I LOVE SEC 1C '08!

the peeps are a total enthu lot and will miss them for the rest of the year when i do not see them in the morning because of morning punctuality duty. sad :(

had lots of homework ( arnd 5 or so ) yesterday even though it was only monday. oh sunday, i really miss you a lot where i can go free and chill out at tacklebox and just be arnd with really great friends.

i miss tacklebox service where all the songs they sing are really meaningful and beatiful ones and the sermons make a lot of sense. well, i will attend it this sun, though i had missed a lot of them during the holidays.heh heh...

so i got a new best friend this year, besides teng and edwina. she's esther, one of the nicest peeps on earth! I looove them all, always bringing colour to my uncolourful days and always being there for me. sometimes we do the same things together... ...wondering why the next subject must be that subject and why people have to be named just the way they are.

have not written for quite sometime, so will be here more often.

so i just came back from austin hill yesterday. though it was only 2 days 1 nite, i had the best fun yet.

let's see...eating, swimming, bowling, table tennis..with my pcm group peeps!

so today's the last day of 2007. will miss n rmb this yr as the best among the rest.

things that happened this yr:

1. met many new n superb sec4 friends

2. met my bestest best friend

3. had many super cool activities

4. ... ...shopped the most

can't wait to start school on wed :)

got back to s'pore yesterday n will not be back till next june.

i can't wait to get back to tacklebox in church!!
i've been like missing 3 wks of lesson n i tell myself that i really should get back to tacklebox n try not to miss anymore of them

i so miss the peeps there, sarah,liz,kym n esther,hey! not forgetting the equally superb leaders,sam,juang,alicia n joh. :)

I can't wait 4 new yr... ...though i will not b going for watchnite at church cos scared that i cannot wake up next morn n will sleep thru the whole day... ...lolx

this year's christmas was really christmassy compared to d previous ones - cos i got to spend it in malaysia with relatives!! thank God!! rather than spending christmas alone only with my family in s'pore, i got to spend it with peeps that i dun really meet most of the time throughout the year, so i really appreciate that chance. for the next few yrs i will be caught up in student council stuff so i dun think that i can make it back for christmas. -.-"

from tacklegirl again have a merry christmas n a happy new yr in 2008, especially to all my fairfield friends in council n gb. not forgetting sec 4 seniors : pauline, julien, joy sim, julia, jocelyn, joy yeo. will miss them next yr when they are not in fmss. wishing them all the best in their schs next yr!!!

thank God for malaysia trip..

i have enjoyed myself throughout the whole thing. :)

the end of the trip is near and i will definitely miss my cousins here.

i have been doing super exciting stuff like almost everyday... ...swimming, jacuzzi,shopping shopping and more shopping, seriously have not enjoyed myself for a very long time!

if i swim anymore i would b tan beyond recognition... ...got 3 body colours now: pale brown, light brown and dark brown. -.-"

what would happen when sch reopens? let's see...new class, new subjects and no more sec 4 seniors, but heng ar rf still remains! gd!

hahahahahahaha...muz enjoy the rest of hols to d fullest!

Thank God for holidays! I am enjoying mine a lot... ... every single moment of it! A long break after a whole year of school has been long awaited! But all the same, I have enjoyed all the holiday activities lined up for us by the school! Lets see... ... ... ...called back gb activities, sec 1 councillor orientation and council farewell nite '07... never had such fun for a looooong time!

Will definitely miss rf when seniors leave school next yr ( every single one of them... ...) :)

Thank you God for everything you have given me this yr! I have definitely learnt to count my blessings!
